Used this to burn a couple of slideshows and it works great!
I have used iDVD for years. Recently unable to complete burn due to “errors in encoding.” This is my first attempt, seems easy with miDVD, but I miss the extras, especially adding to the title (1st) page and haven’t figured out how to add music yet. Also, iDVD would reproduce additional discs every 6-7 minutes. But at least I can burn them. I likely will try the “Pro.” Thanks for this App. At least I can burn.
…and that’s about it. it is RIDICULOUS that iMovie 10.1.2 does not have a burn to disc feature. miDVD performs this critical function. Yes you can modify the title screen with a caption, but do not expect to add chapter marks or previews. Also, it seems to have to recreate the movie each time you want a copy, so that delays things bit.
Quick, easy to use and efficient!
So easy to use and it worked great. Apple discontinued its iDVD program and I had no way to “burn” my iMovie projects. MiDVD solved all my problems.
Yeah so if you had told me it was the striped down version for free and 9.99 for the full I would have been ok with that, but the come on add that said nothing of it… Now I will find another paid app to use.
I wanted to create some DVD’s of pictures, and could not figure out how to do it on my iMac. miDVD is a great solution. It is very easy to use and it is free. I simply created a Slideshow of my photo’s with music, and stored it on my desktop. Then it is a simple matter of dragging and dropping the Slideshow icon into the miDVD application window, and the app does the rest. I recommend it. I have not looked at the Pro version, so I so not know what additional features that offers.
I had 100 DVDs to burn for a local special needs pageant, so I’m burning one after the other. I have new BLANK DVDs, but after 3 burns, the next few burns will result in an error, and ruining the next DVDs. I have to restart my computer to get it to start working again. It takes about an hour to burn a 3GB file. It’s slow, and works half the time.
I had used iDVD prior to Apple’s decision to remove it and was stuck as to how to precede. I just finished burning three DVDs of a family movie and miDVD was perfect. The app is very easy and straight-forward, just add a title, drag and drop your movie over and miDVD takes it from there. I am not sure I will need to upgrade to the Pro version, but in my experience if I find the need to do so I will without reservation.
Awesome App. so easy to use… drag, drop and burn… and it’s done!
Just used it for first time. It did not allow me to drag and drop. Had to upload movie to iTunes then drag and drop. Wouldl give higher rating if it would let me drag and drop without going the itunes route.
VERY USER FRIENDLY. LOVE THE PRODUCT. BURNED OVER 10 USING THIS SOFTWARE. VERY SIMPLE!
you get a great deal here is free and do the job, dont know who will give less the 5 starts Maybe is time to get the pro version
Installed quickly, very intuitive, produced a great result
Nothing fancy, but that’s part of its beauty. Simple to use and provides excellent results. I miss iDVD like so many others, but miDVD eases my loss. Thank you developers for making an excellent piece of software - and for making it free.
I have found it very useful for burning DVDs. You can burn just about anything. It should be easy for novice users to use as well.
After my iMovie and iDVD started crapping out after 2 years past support, it was time to upgrade. The Apple Tech support and I just stumbled across this quite by accident. I did the download and have been quite happy in doing so. I just drag my stuff to the icon and press what I refer to as “cruise control” and just sit back and wait. TANKS miDVD!
Super easy to use, but basic. It only provides one color background and you can only add one piece of video media. You also can’t create multiple menus or add other media to it. BUT, I was in a pinch and needed something quick and easy and FREE. I would recommend this to others.
Having some trouble l;aying back the DVD’s on MBP………not sure why……...
Just got it. Just dragged and dropped. BOOM! Done. Thank you. Quick and easy.
